Membership, privacy and your choices.

The service

HWBT Garage organises reviewed teaching moments from vehicle-build footage. Members can search lessons, save useful moments and keep private project lists in My Garage. The original videos remain with their source platforms and owners.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep your password secure and tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has accessed your account. One membership is for one person. We may suspend an account to protect the service, another person or the member while a security or payment issue is investigated.

Workshop safety

The archive is educational information, not personalised mechanical, engineering or safety advice. Vehicle specifications and risks vary. Follow manufacturer instructions, use suitable safety equipment and seek a qualified professional where a job is outside your competence. Never rely on a community tip to bypass a safety system or required check.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, probe its security, share access, scrape or republish the archive, upload unlawful material, impersonate another person or post dangerous, abusive, promotional or privacy-invasive community content. We may remove content or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary.

Content and third parties

HWBT Garage software, structure and original copy remain ours or our licensors’. Source footage, vehicle marks and third-party materials remain their owners’. Stripe handles card payments, YouTube supplies embedded video and other processors help us host and send account email.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may improve, replace or remove features and archive content. If a material change affects a paid membership, we will give reasonable notice where practicable.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable consumer rights. If these terms conflict with mandatory law, that law applies.

Who controls your information

For the private preview, Collipo operates HWBT Garage and decides how member information is used. Contact support@collipoai.com for privacy requests. Full legal-entity and postal details will be added before paid public launch.

Information we collect

• Account email, verification state, security credentials stored as one-way password hashes, sessions and optional two-factor settings.
• Membership status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment state and billing dates. We do not receive or store full card details.
• Private Garage projects, jobs, notes, saved lessons and completion state.
• Community tips, votes and reports you submit.
• With your consent, limited learning events such as lessons viewed, video progress and searches. Private Garage notes are excluded.
• Operational security information needed to prevent abuse, diagnose errors and keep the service reliable.

How we use it

We use account, Garage and membership information to provide the service and perform our agreement with you. We use necessary security and operational information for our legitimate interests in protecting and improving the service. Optional product analytics is collected only after your consent and can be disabled and deleted from your account.

Who receives it

We use service providers where needed: Railway for application and database hosting, Stripe for subscriptions, Resend for transactional email and YouTube for privacy-enhanced video embeds. Providers process information under their own safeguards and may process it outside the UK; where required, appropriate transfer protections should apply.

Retention

We retain account and Garage information while the account is active and as needed for support, disputes, security and legal obligations. Consented analytics is automatically bounded to a maximum 365-day operating window. Expired verification and reset tokens are short-lived. Billing records may be kept where tax, accounting or legal rules require it.

Your choices and rights

You can change analytics consent and revoke sessions from your account. You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection where the relevant right applies. Email support@collipoai.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Necessary storage

Signing in sets a secure, HTTP-only session cookie that lasts up to eight hours. The browser also stores essential interface state such as saved local preferences and your analytics choice. These are used to provide the service and keep your account secure.

Optional analytics

HWBT Garage uses its own limited event system to understand which approved lessons and features help members. Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics”. You can withdraw that choice and delete your analytics from Your account at any time.

Embedded video

YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced embeds. YouTube may still receive technical information or place storage when you interact with a video, particularly if you are signed into Google. You can open the original video directly on YouTube instead.

Change your choice

Signed-in members can open Your account and choose either “Allow privacy-safe analytics” or “Disable and delete my analytics”. Necessary account storage cannot be switched off while using the signed-in service.

Price and trial

Premium costs £3.99 per month. A payment card is required to start the seven-day trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges the monthly price and the membership renews monthly until cancelled. Any tax shown at checkout forms part of the total due.

Cancel online

Cancel at any time from Your account by opening Stripe billing management. You can also email support@collipoai.com. Cancellation during the trial prevents the first charge. After a paid period begins, access normally continues until the current paid period ends.

Payment problems

If renewal payment fails, we normally keep Premium available for a three-day grace period while Stripe retries or you update the card. After that, Premium access is locked automatically. Your account and private Garage data are preserved, and a later successful payment restores access.

Refunds and cooling-off rights

Payments are normally non-refundable for a partly used monthly period, except where law requires otherwise or we agree a refund after investigating a service problem. Statutory cancellation and cooling-off rights are not affected. If you believe a legal right applies, contact us within 14 days of entering the paid subscription and explain the request.

Billing support

Stripe provides receipts, invoices, card updates and cancellation through its secure customer portal. For an incorrect charge, inaccessible account or unresolved cancellation, contact support@collipoai.com.
